Years ago, as I worked with my active adults and athletes, I found a common theme in their injuries. When they were injured, they would go to the doctor and were told to stop running, take medication, or have an injection. These were all short term fixes. When they went back to their training after these interventions, the pain came right back. These athletes were lost and not sure what to do to keep their pain away so they could continue to train. I set out to educate these active adults and athletes on making smart decisions about when to train and when to ‘back off’. I have also found that these active adults and athletes are not sure what they should be doing to prevent injuries from happening. It has become my mission to keep as many athletes competing at the highest level possible during their races.

After a serious car accident, Nazanin was struggling with severe shoulder and neck pain.
